A dydoe piercing passes through the coronal ride (the ridged head of the penis). This piercing requires very specific anatomy to be done. These are not well suited if you are uncircumcised, and you must have a very large and defined ridge for these to even be attempted. That said they can still be challenging piercings to heal, and are prone to migration and rejection. 12g or 10g curved or straight barbells are used for this piercing, depending on anatomy. They can sometimes be done at a 14g, but for stability and durability it is better to start them larger. For this piercing we encourage you to come in for a consultation with one of our piercers to determine that these will work for your anatomy and your lifestyle.
